Through a chance meeting in a framing shop in Ashford and talking to Sarah, after years of thinking about having our portraits done we finally decided to make an appointment with her for a photo shoot to coincide with our 30th Wedding Anniversary. I was really looking forward to it however Michael was a bit apprehensive over the whole idea, but after a cup of coffee, a chat and a laugh we finally got down to taking the photos which we both thoroughly enjoyed - a lovely two hours of fun. It is difficult to put down in words Sarah's professionalism and her ability to put you at ease at all times.
We went back a week later to view the photos Sarah had selected from the vast amount she had taken. Another enjoyable two hours. Sarah's choice of photos and the way she suggested to assemble them was really inspirational.
On receiving our portraits it showed her hard work and commitment to her job which is truly remarkable. She will tick all the boxes for your photography requirements which during the busy time of organising a Wedding in my mind is what everyone is looking for.
It was purely by accident that I employed Sarah Smith to do my Wedding Photography but what a fantastic fate of fortune it was. I would like firstly to thank Sarah for the brilliant professional job she did totally dedicated to her passion. Sarah from the start of our relationship always displayed an incredibly professional personal touch and the time and effort put in was no more than astronomical. This effort included several visits to the venue that we were to be married at to ensure that the light was o.k, including the darkness of the chapel and the position of the sun so as to gain the best positions to get people to pose. Also, where each photo would be best taken. A couple of evenings before the wedding Sarah came to our house to show us some poses for the day so that she would not be encroaching on our time during the wedding day by doing it then. During the day Sarah was incredibly polite to all the guests and totally relaxed in her approach making it seem she was one of the guests. Another positive aspect was that Sarah was aware of the fact that the photos are only part of the day, so after the agreed photos were taken she blended into the background doing candid shots and worked incredibly hard in achieving some fabulous shots. This is something which to my mind was an enormous bonus as some photographers can almost dominate some weddings. Finally, after the wedding Sarah put together a lovely preview album just enough photos to be able to arrange an album and her advice over this was invaluable.

In the December of last year I was looking for a very special present for a very dear friend, after much fruitless searching I come up on the idea of having a portrait painted of my friend’s dog, through a local gallery I made contact with Sarah. I sent her a photo which wasn’t the best and to my complete amazement she not only finished the portrait well before Christmas but framed it as well. I had a wonderful shoot with Sarah on May 8th for my Spotlight Entry- the professional guide for all performers with your photograph as your calling card. . As a performer it is vitally important that your photographs reflect who you are and several facets of your character. Sarah took the time to get to know me and we had an amazing selection to chose from which I keep adding to my website.

When I had the photos taken with my two dogs all I was expecting was some nice pictures of us, what I got was so amazing I struggled not to cry. I never thought I'd ever see on a picture what I see in my dogs everyday, Sarah has the talent to catch their personalities and quirks in a few clicks of a camera. In the December of last year I was looking for a very special present for a very dear friend, after much fruitless searching I come up on the idea of having a portrait painted of my friend’s dog, through a local gallery I made contact with Sarah. I sent her a photo which wasn’t the best and to my complete amazement she not only finished the portrait well before Christmas but framed it as well. The picture is unimaginably fantastic, I know the dog well and he has a unique personality and anyone looking at the drawing will be able to see that, Sarah has managed to capture every ounce of his personality, her skill as an artist is unquestionable and having the picture in my possession for a few days I quite expected to see him blink, his eyes look that real.
